DJ + Sax + Drums
Club Live.
A DJ set with a saxophone player and a drummer playing live over it. It isn't a band. There's no stage, no backline and no changeover. It's a way to turn a regular DJ night into something people talk about on Monday.
Three people, one set, no changeover.
The DJ
Carries the night from open to close. The set doesn't change to accommodate the live players. They come in over the top of what's already working.
The sax
Plays lines over the track, hooks people know, and improvised phrases over the build. It's the part that makes a phone come out of a pocket.
The drums
A compact kit or electronic pads playing live on top of the beat. It's what makes the room feel like a gig rather than a playlist.
It does what a band does, without what a band costs you.
It lifts a regular DJ night
You keep the night you already run. The live players come in for the busy hours and the room notices, without you changing the music policy or the door price.
It costs less than a band
Three people, no backline, no soundcheck, no dressing room. For most rooms it lands between a resident DJ and a five-piece.
It fits where a band won't
No stage needed. The players work at floor level beside the booth, so you don't lose covers or standing space to a riser.
You can run it for peak hours only
The DJ plays the full night. Book the sax and drums for the two or three hours that matter and pay for those.

- Space needed
- Roughly 2m × 2m beside the DJ booth. No stage or riser.
- Power
- Two standard sockets within reach of the booth.
- Sound
- Works off house PA in most rooms. We bring our own if you haven't got one.
- Set structure
- Typically 3 × 40 minutes across the peak hours, agreed with your duty manager.
- Load-in
- 45 minutes before doors. Pack-down is 30 minutes.
- Lighting
- House lighting is fine. We'll bring two par cans if the corner is dark.

Scale it up or down.
Club Live scales. Take the drums out and it's a DJ with a sax over the top. Add a vocalist and it's the closest thing to a band without the stage. Tell us the room and we'll tell you which version suits it.
