Specialist performers

For the parts of an evening that need something happening, but not a stage and not a set.

Why book it

What booking a specialist act does for your night

It handles the hour nobody plans for. Arrivals, the walk between rooms, the stretch after the speeches. A roaming or feature act gives guests something to encounter in those gaps, so the evening doesn't sag between its scheduled parts.

It's what people photograph. Corporate clients and launch organisers are usually buying something that ends up on a feed or in a recap deck. A feature act is the most reliable way to get that, and it costs less than the production people assume it does.

It sits alongside your main booking rather than replacing it. Most of these are booked with a DJ or a band already in place. The specialist covers the early part of the night, and the main act takes over when the room is full.

The roster

More than one specialist

This is the broadest part of what we supply. Roaming musicians, string players, close-up performers and feature acts. It's the one where the brief matters most, because there's no default. What suits a product launch is not what suits a Christmas gala.

The most useful thing you can tell us is what the moment needs to do: fill an awkward half hour, give people something to photograph, or mark one point in the evening. We'll come back with options that do that specific job rather than a catalogue.

The versions

What you can book

  • Roaming musicians

Players moving through the room rather than on a stage.

  • String players

Solo, duo or quartet. Arrivals, ceremonies and dinner.

  • Close-up performers

Table to table during drinks and between courses.

  • Feature acts

One moment built into the night. A set piece rather than a set.

The practical bit

What it needs from your room

Space
Varies by act. Most roam and need no fixed area.
Power
Usually none, or one socket.
Sound
Acoustic or into house sound, depending on the act.
Booking
Normally a fixed window rather than a full night.

Every quote names the act and a cover act of the same format and fee, agreed before the contract is signed.
